This sauce (or should we call it a “condiment”?) is good with everything–fries, roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, fish, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, onna sandwich or panini–just trust me. The garlic is definitely present, but not overpowering. It’s so easy to toss together that it doesn’t really count as a “recipe”, and it’s so delicious.
Ingredients
(Serves 5)
3 TBS mayonnaise
1 TBS ketchup
A few shakes of Tabasco
1 large clove garlic, pressed
2 TBS chives
1 tsp lemon juice
Mince your chives and put your garlic through the garlic press.
Mix all ingredients, and serve. It’s amazing folks.
It’s especially delicious with these potatoes from yesterday’s recipe . . .
. . . or this fish (recipe coming Monday) . . .
. . . or on these babies:
Just kidding! Apples and tabasco sauce just don’t do it for me.

Mmmm....this looks really good! I'm such a fan of Comeback sauce, which is a similar Jackson, MS concoction that they put on EVERYTHING down there! I've got a version of it from a co-worker's grandmother (ketchup, mayo, tabasco, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, and worcestershire sauce), but I think most renditions of it have chili sauce and some kind of oil in it too. Anyhoo, I love anything really good and garlicky, so I can't wait to try this one!
Cool! I love eating fries with a mayo-ketchup mixture, so this was my way of fancifying that concotion. How's Knott baby #2?
Jenna! I love ketchup-mayo!! I eat potato chips with that 'fry sauce' too!!
