These are the final pictures I have of Heidi and little James.
Big deal, you may be thinking, you can just take more pictures when you see him again.
But here’s the thing: I have no idea when I will see Baby James next–by that time, I may have to drop the word ‘Baby’ off his name.
They change so fast! Even if I see him in a mere 4 or 5 months, he will be crawling by then! Walking! Talking! Enrolling in his first undergraduate program!
Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little.
Plus, I don’t see how he ever stands a chance of walking on this little lump of a foot.
Or writing a college essay with this little appendage.
Here is his precious little face as he experienced a nightmare.
I have never seen anything so pitiful.
The impulse to gather the little guy to my bosom was overwhelming. Thankfully his mama took care of that so that I could continue to snap away with my camera.
It’s okay little guy! It was just a dream!
I wonder what babies even have nightmares about.
. . . and then I tried to manipulate the metal hand, but that stuffed pink bear was just out of reach, and I couldn’t manage to grab it with the claw! And then I realized the metal hand was my actual hand and that I have no motor control yet!
Or is it more like: and I sucked and sucked, but NO MILK CAME OUT!
We’ll probably never know.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Just looking at baby James releases so many endorphins in my brain that I shall be absolutely gleeful for the rest of the day. Which means I'm not sure what I'm going to do now that this is the last post for a while. I'm going to have to go back to the beginning and cycle through. So when you see suspicious activity centered around those posts...don't worry. It's just me keeping the neurotransmitters in my brain flowing.
Jenna, thanks for helping me achieve my recommended daily allowance of Baby James. He's a cutie.
Oh, that little pout! Adorable! And the woman in these pictures did NOT just have a baby!? She bounces back like Heidi Klum!
I have had all of my babies and I am not having anymore, but if you don't stop with the adorableness that is Baby James you are going to have some explaining to do to my husband. I am not even allowed to HOLD a baby for fear of another, but these pictures, oh....
I especially like the one where your feet are in the pictures too. :D
Nice memories.
Your sister is a BEAUTIFUL mommy! And James is darling...so small...such a handsome little face. I love the shot with the fingers and toes :) I also like the one on them lying down and your feet are just visible. All of the photos have this informal, but artistic touch to them...it is like being "in" on a private moment with mother and son. Great work!
Adorable! Lovely pics, too.
Hes precious!

Great googlie mooglie.
Is there anything cuter than little tiny baby toes and fingers? I think not.
Hey, Jenna! Sorry I've been AWOL -- just got back from the North Country. (Hope it was warmer in Chicago than in Minnesota...!) Your posts have been so fun to read -- glad you made it back from your trip okay -- GREAT international flavors you've been sharing lately -- and what PRECIOUS PHOTOS of baby James. That was a Mother's Day weekend treat, thanks!
Gorgeous pictures Jenna! You just took me back to my three boys at that age. It's such a precious time in life.
