Hello friends! I hope everyone just had a great weekend. I know we certainly did–our friends Joe and Steph went and got hitched (I’ve got some cute pictures of them smooching here from our New Years party back in January). The wedding was beautiful, Steph looked beautiful, I cried, etc. We spent some time with my in-laws. We went and saw the new Harry Potter movie with my mother-in-law Sara (a die-hard HP fan). Altogether, events converged to make for a stellar time.
For today’s visual entertainment factor, as promised on Friday, I have some pictures to share from our deep past that showcase my husband’s abundant hair.
Yes, I married a white guy with a ‘fro.

These pictures are from 2004 and 2005. Such young thangs we were . . .
When he cut his hair I didn’t even recognize the guy.
Um, excuse me . . . do we know each other? Why are you looking at me in such a familiar way? And WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY HIPPIE BOYFRIEND?
The ‘fro hasn’t made an appearance for many years . . . will it ever come back? Why am I posing this question? Do I secretly want it to come back? Or am I in mortal terror of its return?
I’ll hash these issues out over a piece of chocolate. Nothing like a little sugar to shed light on this troubled and confusing world.

And to think I just spent 20 minutes with my curling iron and an arsenal of "fine hair fixer uppers..." What a head of hair! Love the nostalgic photos of you two.

Antes se veía gracioso...con ese estilo afro. Ahora se ve fantástico (para mi gusto)...imagino que cada look iba en consonancia con la época...y al fin y al cabo, tu miras mas allá de la apariencia...y su corazón seguirá siendo el mismo, ja!

Handsome, no matter how he wears his hair!! And I love the photograph at the end.... very penetrating. One good thing: perhaps your kids will have curlier hair than you girls did!!

That is some amazing hair. My husband has fantastic curly hair as well and mine is stick straight. He has always kept his pretty short though in the years we've been together. Luckily, one of my boys scored some fabulous hair as well. :)
