A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was navigating Facebook. La dee dah dee dah. Oh yes . . . so-and-so won’t take a nap . . . uh huh . . . and so-and-so just had a delicious latte . . . mmmm, maybe I want a delicious latte . . .
And then, from some random comment on some random page, I came across and image called “Fly Me to Paris.” It was beautiful. I was entranced. I want this art on my wall, I decided. I did a quick search on amazon.com and All Posters and initially didn’t come up with anything.
So I wrote it on my stack of post-it notes as a future to-do. For the next number of months, when I came across this item on my list, I moved it down in the stack. Oh yeah . . . Fly Me to Paris . . . uh huh, let me move that down to next month.
Until one day, I came across my scribble again and decided to finally search a little more diligently. And not only did I find the image again . . .
. . . but I found the name of the artist, Christian Schloe.
And I found a treasure trove over other images by him.
And I discovered that somehow, he does his magic in Photoshop.
Photoshop, people! Will the wonders never cease!?
While I was goofing off adding eyes to my forehead with the cloning tool, apparently he was doing some, um, cooler stuff. Yeah.
I immediately contacted him on Facebook and he gave me permission to share his images with you guys on my blog. Don’t they transport you to another world?
Anyway, I now have a running list of all the images I eventually want to order (they’re sold here, by the way). I want this one on the wall in Alice’s room . . .
. . . or maybe this one.
When I look at his art work I feel like I’m in a beautiful, weird dream that I don’t want to wake up from.
