Two great games from the archives

I’ll be back next week . . . but in the meantime, I wanted to point your attention in the direction of two great group games.

1) I posted about the fabulous game of Dominion exactly one year ago, when we had arrived home from our Family Vacay 2010.

When we played it with Steve and Steph last Christmas, I think Steve won every single time. Ugh. He kept using that dang “Garden” card, the imp. I have plans to take him down during Family Vacay 2012–that gives me a year to buff up my skills.

2) Chinese Telegraph was our big game at New Years back in January, and if you haven’t played it, you must find an occasion!

It’s rollicking.

And I have a third recommendation . . . but it’s a freebie.

Because I don’t know how many of you have access to a big mud-filled pen in which to pig wrestle. But if you can locate one, this ‘game’ is wildly . . . well, wildly . . . hmmmm . . . you know, “fun” isn’t exactly the word that comes to mind.

Though you may have fun reading the blog post that I wrote about it. Anyway.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Getaway click-through

You thought you had seen the last of Joe and Steph’s wedding pictures . . . but I had a few left that I wanted to keep together. So this is not just the last batch but the for real last batch. For real.

Plus this one, which somehow slipped through the cracks the other day.

I’ve never seen a more enthusiastically joyful bride, and this picture illustrates the level of energy that she carried throughout the entire day. And into the night as we danced under that hot tent.

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here is a succession of pictures showing the lovely Steph and the dashing Joe scampering off to their getaway boat as we all launched tiny plastic beach balls at them. Please watch the kid in the green shirt carefully as he scores a nice hit at the end. My hopes are that if you click as fast as you can, it will seem like a video . . . maybe?

Have a great weekend everyone!
